Upcycled sneakers made from textile waste and recycled materials. The sneakers are designed with circularity in mind and can be taken back after being used. The first company in the world to be producing upcycled sneakers on scale.
VAER is aiming to minimize the amount of textile waste, by using already existing textiles, that still have a lot of value left in them.
The materials that are used for the rest of the sneaker, are made from recycled and natural materials - eg. 70% recycled cotton laces, 56% recycled rubber soles and a natural fiber mix in the insoles.
The company is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, where all of our sneakers are designed. The production takes place in Portugal at a family-owned factory with ethical production.
